Paul Rahme - Pianist for any occasion

I am a classically trained pianist, and can play from sheet music or by ear. I have over 10 years experience playing for wedding ceremonies, wedding receptions, civil partnerships, luncheons, restaurants, corporate occasions, parties, etc.

Currently living in Birmingham, I can travel to other locations in or around the Midlands. I can provide background entertainment anywhere from small house parties to large parties or wedding receptions. I can also sing if required, or accompany other singers while playing.

If there is not an adequate piano at the venue, I have a digital piano with a portable stand which I can bring along. The digital piano has an organ sound if required, eg if traditional music is required at a wedding ceremony.

I play a wide variety of music, including classical, religious, jazz, showtunes, contemporary, popular, and I can take requests from guests. Examples of the songs I play are listed below.

In the event that you would like me to play a special song which I do not already know, I should be able to learn it prior to the occasion.

I am generally available evenings and weekends, but can also arrange to be available for weekday functions.

I normally charge £80 for the first hour, and £50 for each hour thereafter, however these prices are negotiable depending on travelling distance, duration of the function, etc. Some of the fee (the first £20-50) is required as a deposit in advance, to confirm reservation for the required date.

Obviously I am more than happy to meet before the function if you would like to listen to me play in person, discuss which pieces/songs you would like me to perform, etc.

THE RHYTHM JUNKIES: I play keyboard and do backing vocals in this 5 piece function band.

Swing The Merciless: Piano and vocals in this 3 or 4 piece band which does unexpected songs in a swing style.

LOUNGE DUO: Koser, the singer from Rhythm Junkies, and I, also perform as a 2 piece piano/vocal duo. We play venues such as The Living Room. Depending on the occasion, we could start off as just 1 or 2 people doing background music, and by the end of the evening, the full band can be onstage.

THE QUANTUM PROJECT: I play keys and backing vocals in this function band, who take the audience through the decades with 15 minute medleys of 70's, 80's and 90's music.
